The doors to the world are finally open again, and so are our minds, eyes and hearts. Inspired by our great return to the creative and artistic experiences we’ve missed so much, Bentley created Daytripper, a stunning carpet collection that captures our collective desire to be swept away for hours at museums, galleries, festivals, and more.
The Daytripper Collection is comprised of four patterns—Expo Hall™, Gallery Hop™, Pop-Up Shop™ and Free Day™—each with varying depth and shimmer and unique scale and proportion, the Daytripper Collection.
Expo Hall is reminiscent of the marble architecture, ancient and modern, that often houses our greatest museums.
The map of the city comes alive with Pop-Up Shop. Alleys, courtyards and forgotten storefronts open to host new thinking, artworks and designs for contemporary living.
Gallery Hop leans into artistic mark-making, evoking a painter’s brush strokes and smudge techniques with blending hues.
Then there’s Free Day, the open road that effortlessly connects the entire collection, reminding us that anything is possible.
“Designers and artists thrive within the creative realm. Seeing art, wandering city streets of design festivals, seeking out installations and exhibitions. It’s their superfood and their purpose,” explains Victoria deVuono, vice president of marketing for Bentley. “For everyone, it presents possibilities – to preserve history and connect with the past, to understand the present and imagine the future. It’s important that we recognize just how impactful a gallery exhibit or a pop-up can be, for all of us. This is what Daytripper represents.”
Together, the patterns present adventurous possibilities to preserve history and understand how it continues to shape the future. All four styles share an optimistic and authentic colorline of 12 colors.
Daytripper also tunes in and adapts to the needs of the ever-changing environment, which goes beyond design inspiration. Manufactured with Bentley Premium™ Nylon 6 , it’s the latest addition to our growing library of sustainable, PVC-free products. They are offered in 18-inch x 36-inch and 24-inch square carpet tiles backed by AFIRMA II™ and AFFIXX™ Hardback Tile and NexStep® Cushion Tile, and 12-foot broadloom with High PerformancePC.
Daytripper products are produced in a California LEED®-EB-OM Gold-certified manufacturing facility, are CRI Green Label Plus® certified and feature Declare® labels. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Health Product Declarations (HPDs) are forthcoming; LBC Compliance status and Cradle to Cradle Certification™ are also in process, expected before the end of 2022.
